This also fits somewhat with a previous report from display analyst Ross Young, who said Apple would be looking to place Face ID below the display around the iPhone 17 Pro. Notably, Bu’s leak also suggests that this change for the iPhone 16 Pro is not yet finalized, and it’s possible that “we won’t see such a version until the iPhone 17.”
Bu’s X post suggests that March 2024 will be a key milestone for the new Dynamic Island design, so Apple may not have made a final decision yet on whether to launch it alongside the iPhone 16 Pro or wait another year for the iPhone 17 Pro to debut.
