Answer: No. iPhone 12 Pro Max Case do not fit the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
According to newly shared pre-release accessory images, the iPhone 15 Pro Max models will have slightly relocated power and volume buttons, among other minor design changes.
The mute switch cutout on one of the iPhone 15 Pro Max Cases shows a dramatic change, with a smaller element more like a mute button. Apple is rumored to be replacing the current mechanical slide switches with capacitive buttons; similar to how it changed the home button on the iPhone 7 and 8 a few years ago. If this were the case, the apples wouldn’t need such a large cut. Additionally, there are rumors that Apple will rename the mute switch to the “Action” button, in line with a similar button on the Apple Watch Ultra.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max’s power and volume buttons will be positioned slightly lower than the iPhone 12 Pro Max models. The iPhone 15 Pro Max’s USB-C port, which replaces the current model’s Lightning port, also appears to require a slightly larger bottom cutout.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature larger camera lenses and larger microphones. The accessory also appears to retain headroom for the unified volume rocker, but that design change isn’t expected to return this year.
Other rumored design updates for the iPhone 15 Pro models include a titanium chassis, slightly curved front and rear edges, narrower bezels, and a thicker camera array. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to launch alongside the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus in the fall, as usual.
