Samsung expected to release the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Note in early February 2022. By the way, Samsung uses a 19.3:9 aspect ratio for the Galaxy S22 Note (formerly known as Galaxy S22 Ultra). The odd aspect ratio comes from the device’s 3,088 x 1,440 pixel resolution, 112 pixels shorter than the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

The FCC has confirmed that Samsung will release a new LED View Cover alongside the Galaxy S22 Note. It also confirmed that the Galaxy S22 Note has a built-in S Pen, which will be a first for the Galaxy S series.

The FCC released multiple documents related to the SM-S908U, which is believed to be a model of the Galaxy S22 Note. Samsung has recently received FCC certification for the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus.

As expected, the FCC did not reveal what the SM-S908U will look like or what hardware it contains. But the Geekbench list links the SM-S908U to Qualcomm’s latest flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

The FCC confirmed that the SM-S908U supports S Pen and LED View Cover, and Samsung has assigned models EJ-PS908 and EF-NS08, respectively. The EJ-PS908 is so small that Samsung displays its FCC ID in the SM-S908U’s Settings menu. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Note will be released on May 3, 2022.
