On June 10, ACCORDING to BGR, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will drop its curved screen design in favor of a straight one.

All Note lines since the Galaxy Note 5 have a curved screen, as has the S series after the S6, but Samsung’s popularity for curved screens has plummeted in recent years, not only easing the curviness of the screen (it’s actually more like a 2.75D screen), it even dropped the curved design on the Galaxy S10e and S10 Lite. As for the reason, the high probability is that curved screen will cause serious mistouch problem, which traditional straight screen does not have.

Samsung is expected to officially launch the Note 20 series on August 5 this year. In addition, this event will also introduce Galaxy Fold 2, which adds Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Of course, higher-end Galaxy Note 20+ and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra models should still have curved screens.
