A variant of Samsung’s Galaxy S21 FE, which it plans to launch in the United States, is also on Geekbench. It doesn’t really tell us anything about the device, but it does confirm that the Galaxy S21 FE will be released in the US. So is the Galaxy S21 FE worth buying? Answer: Yes.
In terms of specs, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has a “Lahaina” motherboard and an ARMv8 chipset, with eight cores. The Galaxy S21 FE shipped to the U.S. uses the same chipset as the full-fledged Galaxy S21 series, the Snapdragon 888 chipset.
The U.S. Galaxy S21 FE model has 6GB of RAM, but it’s almost guaranteed that Samsung in the U.S. will offer 8GB of RAM as well. The device, which runs Android 11, is expected to ship in mid-2021 and will likely come with a nearly complete One UI 3.1 version.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will support 25W of fast charging, and the S21 FE is expected to have the same 4,500mAh battery as last year’s, and may even be slightly smaller than the current Galaxy S21.
As for the release date, there are reports that Samsung has been forced to push back the launch of the Galaxy S21 FE until September or even later. The report blamed the delay on a global shortage of semiconductors, but this has not been officially confirmed.
