Six months after the iPhone 12 went on sale, Apple has set its sights on the next flagship smartphone, the iPhone 13. According to popular accessory brand CaseMe, expect to see four versions of the new phone: iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. And the iPhone 13 will see the presence of Touch ID, which will take the form of an in-display fingerprint scanner rather than a physical fingerprint scanner.
Another news leak hints at iOS 15 features. The iPhone 13 will have dual biometrics. As for other features, the iPhone 13 is not expected to get a major design upgrade. It will probably keep the same rear camera module. However, the front may be different due to the presence of smaller notches.
Based on Apple’s history, the iPhone 13 launch date is in late September, and the event is usually held on a Tuesday or Wednesday. That seems to be on track, despite a global chip shortage. Production of the new chip has been completed ahead of schedule, bringing the launch of the phone back to the familiar pre-pandemic phase.
