A CAD rendering of the iPhone 13 Mini has been leaked online. Based on the rendering shown, the basic shape of the iPhone 13 Mini looks the same as that of the iPhone 12 Mini, but Apple has slightly changed the position of the camera lens.

The rendering shows the iPhone 13 Mini with changes to the rear camera array. The most obvious change is in the design of the camera bump. Instead of being stacked vertically like on the iPhone 12, the rendering places the camera diagonally in the upper left and lower right corners of the square camera module. The rest stays the same. You get the familiar flat sides with sharp edges, a front panel with even slender bezels, and a smooth back panel held in place by a metal frame.

Lidar is missing from the rendering of the iPhone 13 Mini. This gives us reason to hope that, assuming the images can be trusted, the smallest 2021 iPhone might not get the upgrade after all.

The iPhone 13 Mini is likely to be Apple’s last 5.4-inch “mini” iPhone. Reliable Apple analysts reported earlier today that Apple is likely to discontinue production of the iPhone 14 form factor in 2022 in favor of two 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch models, likely to be called the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Max, IPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
