Despite many setbacks, Huawei is pushing ahead with the launch of new smartphones. Huawei is preparing to launch the Huawei Mate 40 series, and we got a good idea of what huawei Mate 40 looks like after well-known accessory maker CaseMe posted some pictures of their cases.

From the picture of the case of the Huawei Mate 40, the display is clearly curved to the side, just like other Huawei smartphones. However, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a waterfall display similar to the Mate 30 Pro. Unlike the Mate 30 Pro, the Mate 40 Pro appears to ditch the volume joystick’s virtual controls in favor of a standard physical volume joystick. On both smartphones, a double-hole punch camera incision replaces the notch, similar to the one we saw on the P40 series.

However, the Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro have similar camera shapes to those in the Mate 30, but are significantly larger and more convex. In terms of rendering, the regular Mate 40 will have three rear camera Settings, while the high-end, more expensive Huawei Mate 40 Pro will have four rear camera Settings. The Mate 40 will have a 6.4-inch display, while the Mate 40 Pro will have a 6.7-inch display. As for other specs the phones might have, huawei is rumoured to be launching a new HiSilicon Kirin 1020 processor, which is said to be made using a 5nm process.
