The iPhone 14 series has only been out for a few months, but that hasn’t stopped rumors about the yet-to-be-released iPhone 15. For example, it looks like Apple will finally embrace USB-C charging and ditch the Lightning port. We might see an all-new model called the iPhone 15 Ultra.
Apple may replace the “Pro Max” version of the iPhone 15 with a new “Ultra” model, according to a report from Bloomberg. Apple launched the Apple Watch Ultra in 2022, and also used the “Ultra” moniker for the highest-end version of the M1. There is no doubt that the current highest-end iPhone, usually the “Pro Max,” will probably be renamed the iPhone 15 Ultra.
For Apple, Ultra means “beyond,” the name also seems to imply more expensive. Apple says that “the iPhone 15 Ultra will cost significantly more to manufacture than the iPhone 14 Pro Max.” It is said to start at $1,299, $200 more than the iPhone Pro Max. It would also be the highest single-generation price increase in iPhone history.
There have been leaks that suggest this very expensive Apple iPhone 15 Ultra might be worth almost every penny, depending on where your allegiances lie. It will start with at least 256 GB of storage and likely feature dual selfie cameras. Additionally, the leaker claims that the iPhone 15 Ultra will be made of expensive titanium (more expensive than steel) and will feature a Thunderbolt 4-capable USB-C port.
Does an iPhone 14 Pro Max Case Fit The iPhone 15 Ultra?
Answer: No. While the iPhone 15 Ultra will be similar to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the pill-and-hole cutout will expand to the entire lineup. That means all iPhone 15 models would have no notch, your iPhone 14 Pro Max Case will not fit the iPhone 15 Ultra.
