Apple will complete the second phase of the upcoming iPhone 12 series “EVT,” or “engineering verification and testing,” at the end of June and begin production of the phone in July, Taiwan’s DigiTimes reported.
The report indicates that all iPhone 12 models will go into production next month, but it is unclear whether all iPhone 12 models will be launched at the same time. Although apple is likely to be released in September as usual its “iPhone 12” product line, but analysts Guo Ming and others had earlier claimed that due to the production challenges, support super-fast mmWave 5 g 12 high-end models of the iPhone will face the delay.
Guo Ming special pointed out that because of the change in early April antenna packaging design mmWave iPhone 12 production will be “on The entry-level iPhone 12 is expected to support sub-6ghz 5G.
As previously reported, Apple is expected to release four new iPhone 12 models later this year, including two iPhone 12 models with 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch screens and two iPhone 12 Pro models with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens. All four models are expected to have OLED displays, 5G support and a small bang gap, while the iPhone 12 Pro model is rumoured to be getting the LiDAR sensor.
