The Chicago Tribune commissioned the relevant agencies to investigate the radio frequency electromagnetic radiation level of smart phones. The survey results show that some of the smart phones’ radio frequency electromagnetic radiation is not satisfactory. Including the iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone X and most recently Galaxy smartphone models exceeds federally mandated limits.
Although handset makers have explained the results, consumers have not been receptive. Many of consumers have filed a complaint in the us district court for the northern district of California, claiming that smartphones designed and manufactured by apple and samsung electronics emit radiofrequency radiation above the level set by the us government.
The lawsuit, filed as a class action, allows consumers (including owners of the iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8 and iPhone X, as well as owners of samsung’s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 phones, among others) to join the lawsuit and claim damages.
CaseMe, a well-known mobile phone optician manufacturer, is developing a radiation-proof mobile phone case, which is expected to be released at the end of the year. If you have iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone X, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8, you can follow CaseMe’s official website to purchase radiation-proof case in advance.
